Morrison Mahoney Partner Grace V.B. Garcia has been accepted for membership to the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
Founded in 1920, the IADC is an invitation-only association comprised of approximately 2,500 attorneys and insurance executives who represent corporate and insurance interests around the world. One of the most prestigious legal organizations, the standards for membership in IADC are very exacting. Nominees are vetted by the IADC Membership Committee and the IADC Board of Directors before an invitation is extended, making it a high honor and testament to a candidate’s professional accomplishments.
With over twenty years of trial practice and litigation experience, Grace concentrates her practice in the areas of product liability, construction law, OSHA, commercial litigation, employment litigation, premises liability and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) cases. She is a continual lecturer for various legal education programs on the topics of OSHA, risk transfer and indemnity issues, defending traumatic brain injury cases, best discovery practices, and deposition techniques. Grace has authored several legal articles and provided expert commentaries for Lexis on issues such as indemnity, premises liability and collateral estoppel. She is also an active member of the legal community, including being a current officer, Treasurer, of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and is Past President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
In 2020, the IADC will celebrate 100 years as a professional organization that provides education and business development and helps foster friendships for elite civil defense lawyers and insurance executives from around the world. The core purposes of the IADC are to enhance the development of skills, promote professionalism, and facilitate camaraderie among its members and their clients, as well as within the broader civil justice community.
