Morrison Mahoney LLP is pleased to announce that partner and former chair of the Professional Liability Practice Group, Scott D. Burke, has been named Managing Partner of the firm.
As Managing Partner, Scott will be responsible for all firm operations across its 10 offices throughout the northeast. Scott joined the firm in 1990 and is the former chair of the Boston office’s non-medical professional liability group. He has served on various firm leadership committees including the Hiring Committee, Compensation Committee, and Executive Committee. Scott is dedicated to further enhancement of the firm’s status as a regional leader in trial and business law and as a fulfilling, professional and diverse workplace for all of the firm’s attorneys and supporting personnel.
“After 26 years with Morrison Mahoney, I am very excited to become the firm's managing partner following 18 years of impeccable leadership by Mark Harty,” said Scott Burke. “Mark hired me as an associate in 1990 and I have been extremely fortunate to have had the benefit of his mentorship for 26 years. We have a great executive team in place, and I am eager to work together with them on new initiatives.”
Scott succeeds Mark P. Harty, who became Morrison Mahoney’s Managing Partner in 1998 and who continues to serve the firm as Managing Partner Emeritus and member of the Executive Committee.
