Boston, MA – On Friday, May 31, Kathleen A. Federico received the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association Rising Star Award. The award, which was presented at MassDLA’s annual meeting on May 31, 2019, is given to a lawyer who has practiced 10 years or less and has both demonstrated commitment and shows promise to excel in the practice of civil defense law. Kathleen was recognized for her legal skills, success in the courtroom and her civility, traits that are vital to a future star of the bar.
“To be selected from the pool of hundreds of eligible young lawyers is an incredible honor and achievement, and well-earned by Kathleen,” stated Scott D. Burke, the firm’s Managing Partner.
Kathleen is an associate in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney where her practice focuses on general liability, premises liability and product liability in both state and federal courts. She has extensive experience handling a wide variety of litigation matters and also worked at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office as a student prosecutor while in law school.
The Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association is a voluntary association of trial lawyers who defend corporations, individuals and insurance companies in civil lawsuits. The purpose of the MassDLA is to improve the administration of justice, legal education, and professional standards and to promote collegiality and civility among all members of the bar. MassDLA welcomes diversity, in all categories, in its members, officers and board of directors. To learn more about the Award, please click here.
