Boston Partners John Knight and Joe Yannetti recently gave a video presentation on MGL c. 93A to several hundred claims representatives. The presentation addressed the numerous considerations that insurers and third-party administrators need to be aware of to avoid exposure to bad-faith claims. Joe and John also provided recommendations for responding to 93A claims and discussed what to include in a Chapter 93A response letter and how to determine an appropriate settlement offer to extend in response to a bad-faith claim. Boston Associate Alexandra Gordon was instrumental in helping to put together the presentation.
