Morrison Mahoney Partners Bridget Lopez and Douglas Price contributed to an article on the front page of this week’s edition of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Bridget and Doug provided insight on how juror bias can play a role in bicycle/car crash cases, which are particularly abundant with the rising numbers of bicyclists in the Greater Boston Area.

Bridget states that “jurors have very visceral responses to these types of cases” and explains how “car verses car [cases] are much easier [from a defense perspective.]” Doug references a recent trial in which he (and Bridget) tried a bicycle case in Middlesex Superior where he defended a driver for an accident in Cambridge.
