Morrison Mahoney Associate Joe Ciollo recently presented at the 25th annual Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC) Conference in Orlando, Florida.

The FIFEC is a joint effort between law enforcement and the special investigations units of the insurance industry; its mission is to provide education and training for the insurance fraud investigation community. Joe’s presentation, “Exposing and Prosecuting the Chiropractic Personal Injury Mill,” provided attendees with essential clinical and legal knowledge needed to initiate, conduct, and participate in fraud investigation and affirmative civil litigation. A co-presenter, Michael Frustaci, DC, gave remarks on fraudulent chiropractic treatment and billing, and Joe spoke about advantageous investigation and litigation techniques against perpetrators of such fraud.

More than 1,000 people attended the three-day conference, including insurance professionals from numerous carriers, attorneys, and law enforcement officials. Well over 100 of them attended Joe’s presentation, and positive feedback was given by attendees and conference organizers alike.
