Help Desk Specialist - Boston, MA

Our Boston office seeks a full-time help desk specialist. The Help Desk Specialist responds to all customer requests for service and quickly resolves problems during initial contact, as well as identify trends, and opportunities to eliminate recurring problems. The Specialist will respond to incoming requests to the Help Desk via phone or e-mail, quickly diagnose and resolve user problems, and escalate calls to the next level of service, as necessary. The Specialist will follow up with users to ensure successful problem resolution. Additional responsibilities include desktop/laptop support, configurations, and desktop application testing/support. In addition, contribute resolutions and content to knowledgebase; participate on project teams; continue to develop and expand technical skills and business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, assisting end users with technical and application functionality questions.
  • Research questions using available information resources
    Follow standard help desk procedures and recommend changes for continuous improvement
  • Log/track all support requests and document resolutions
    Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention, redirecting problems to appropriate resource
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Mobile devices
  • Participate in technology projects which may arise
  • Engage in formal and informal knowledge transfer
  • Build and maintain productive client relationships with all firm users

Qualifications

Our Worcester, MA office seeks a part-time receptionist. This position will be responsible for answering office phones, greeting visitors, scheduling and set up/management of conference rooms for meetings and depositions, and opening/distribution of mail. The receptionist also may be asked to assist with general secretarial/clerical tasks such as overflow typing, filing, data entry, copying and scanning of documents, and assisting administrative staff when necessary. We are looking for someone who can exhibit professionalism and has the ability to interface with all levels within the branch and main office.

Our New York office is hiring a full-time paralegal to work in our insurance fraud group. The ideal candidate will have completed a degree program in paralegal studies and/or have experience working as a litigation paralegal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing pleadings such as answers, discovery demands, discovery responses, arbitration submissions, motions, and stipulations. File management, client contact/communications and assisting attorneys and other support staff as needed. We are looking for individuals with experience assisting in the preparation for depositions/trials, reviewing and analyzing case documents and bank records and creating Excel spreadsheets summarizing data. The successful candidate will be well organized, detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills and ability to multi task

Responsibilities

  • Preparing pleadings, such as answers, discovery demands and responses, arbitration submission
  • Preparing for depositions and trial
  • Reviewing and analyzing case documents and bank records
  • Creating Excel spreadsheets summarizing data
  • Assisting attorneys and other support staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
  • Strong organization, writing, and research skills
  • Highly skill in managing large Excel spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Experience with researching on pacer and managing cases on Extranet
  • Knowledge of Office 2013, especially Excel, and Power PDF
