On October 30, the Morrison Mahoney Professional Practices group presented a mock trial highlighting insurance agents’ potential errors and omissions and best practices at the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents’ annual Big Event held at the Westin Boston Seaport District. Morrison Mahoney’s presentation was sponsored by Swiss Re, a leader in Professional Management Liability coverage.
Ed Landers served as judge, Dan Lee and Dan Ashby as plaintiff’s attorneys, Alan Brown as plaintiff’s principal, Bill Scarpelli as plaintiff’s expert, Chris Storm and Chris Grimaldi as defendant’s attorneys, Mike Beers as defendant’s principal, and Jake Cuneo as defendant’s customer service representative. The insurance agency industry attendees who filled the room served as jurors. The mock trial presentation was very well-received as there was a lively discussion following the jury verdict as to errors and omissions issues and best practices.
