Daniel Marvin to Present at the Institute of Internal Auditors Long Island Chapter's Cybersecurity Event

Morrison Mahoney Partner Daniel Marvin will be presenting at a session at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IAA) Long Island Chapter's upcoming virtual conference, "Emerging Technology Risks."

The world continues to evolve and adjust to the “new normal” and so have the risks. Internal Audit and Technology Professionals need to evolve as well to not only the changing threat vectors but also how we can use automation to improve our organizations. Nearly everyone has already heard about cybersecurity and its growing influence from the Board down within our organizations. Today’s world requires a greater understanding than what we have known before. For the morning session, we are going to take on a deep dive into cyber security from those that are living it day in/day out. Our afternoon session will look at next level auditing and what some of the leading companies are doing to drive change in their internal audit groups.

Morrison Mahoney Partner Daniel Marvin, Co-Leader of our Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection team, will be leading a session at 11:30 AM titled "Data Privacy and Regulatory Guidance." Here, he will provide an overview of relevant laws and industry standards, and take the group through best practices and what internal auditors and technology professionals need to know as it relates to data privacy, breaches and how important it is to bring in the right legal counsel for your privacy and breach counsel.

The virtual conference will be held on October 16, 2020 from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EDT to discuss these timely issues. To register, please click here
