Hartford Partner James Brawley and Of Counsel Patrick Day obtained a defense verdict in a legal malpractice case.  Our client was an insurance defense lawyer who had been sued by a car dealership he represented in a federal lawsuit that resulted in an excess verdict and an award of punitive damages against the car dealer.  In a decision dictated from the bench, the court found that the testimony of the car dealer was not credible and that the testimony of our client was completely credible.  The court found our lawyer acted within the standards of care and in his clients’ best interests resulting in a defendants’ verdict.
