Courtroom Success 2015-11: Boston Partner Grace Garcia and Associate Steve Troiano

Boston Partner Grace Garcia and Associate Steve Troiano recently obtained summary judgment in a products liability action involving allegations of negligent design and manufacture of a CPVC pipe fitting. Plaintiff alleged that a large water leak occurred in the fire sprinkler system of a condominium and the point of origin was the defendant’s pipe fitting. After deposing plaintiff’s expert, they were able to argue that the plaintiff lacked any expert opinion establishing that any defect existed in the fitting when it left the defendant’s control.
