Morrison Mahoney Partner Brent Tingle and Associate John Babcock received a defense verdict after a six-day trial in Middlesex Superior Court

The plaintiff sued MM client, an obstetrician, for medical incompetence which led to failure to timely diagnose post-C-section to near fatal bleeding complications. The plaintiff was inspired to sue our client due to the third party that unfairly blamed the outcome of on our client. The third party was also sued.

Attorneys built the defense based on extremely unusual case with delayed bleeding a full three days after the C-section. The most important evidence indicated that less invasive treatment measures were too dangerous to employ and that the hysterectomy, although unfortunate, was likely lifesaving. The jury deliberated approximately 3 hours before returning a verdict for our client.
