Trial Verdict 2017-17: Morrison Mahoney Partner Brent Tingle & Associate John Babcock

Morrison Mahoney Partner Brent Tingle and Associate John Babcock obtained a defense verdict after a three-week trial in Essex Superior Court. The case involved a misdiagnosis of an ectopic pregnancy that allegedly resulted in a lost early pregnancy and an unnecessary surgery. Brent and John represented a radiologist who allegedly misread an ultrasound. It was an extremely hard fought case with multiple setbacks for the defense along the way. A total of four experts testified in addition to the two defendants, the plaintiff, and two other treating physicians. The jury ultimately found for both defendants after two and a half hours of deliberation.
