Morrison Mahoney Partner Edward Murphy achieved victory before a federal appellate court based in Washington, D.C. The plaintiff appealed the decision of the trial court, which denied his claim under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act for career-ending bilateral knee injuries allegedly caused or contributed by his employment as a stage builder for many years at our client’s nuclear shipyard. Affirming the decision below, the three-judge panel concluded that the trial court’s decision was supported by substantial evidence and that its adoption of the opinions offered by our client’s medical experts (professors at a prestigious medical school) over those of plaintiff’s experts was rational.
