Boston Partner Peter Knight won a defense verdict in a Suffolk Superior Court medical malpractice jury trial. The plaintiff claimed that our client, an orthopedic surgeon, failed to appreciate an acute compression fracture at T5, which led to complications including paralysis. The jury found no negligence after a three-week trial.
