Boston Partner Jim Bello successfully represented a nuclear cardiologist at a two-week trial in Suffolk County in a claim involving the death of a 62-year-old man. The plaintiff alleged that the cardiologist was negligent in interpreting a stress test two weeks prior to the patient’s death and that our client should have referred the patient for an immediate cardiac catheterization. Our cardiology expert testified that our client met the standard of care in his interpretation of the stress test, which had non-life threatening abnormalities. The jury deliberated for approximately eight hours and returned a defense verdict.
