Fred focuses his practice on premise liability, slip and falls, motor vehicle accidents, construction law and discrimination law. He also provides employer counseling on a wide variety of workplace issues, including the application and hiring process, counseling, employment termination/separation, discrimination issues, personnel policies, and workplace health and safety. He has represented a wide array of employers, ranging from towns and municipalities and large companies to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and small businesses. Fred also represents a number of small and large employers in related administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies. He provides management training on a wide variety of topics, including sexual harassment, employee personnel decisions and employee counseling.
- First and second chaired a number of trials in both state and federal court in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.
- Defended employers in a variety of unfair labor practice charges, including wrongful termination, failure to accommodate, unlawful retaliation, discrimination, employee discipline, and family and medical leave.
