Robin is a partner in the New York office of Morrison Mahoney. She represents some of the nation’s largest insurers in civil RICO and fraud actions brought against individual and corporate healthcare providers and laypersons alleging fraudulent incorporation of medical practices, illegal corporate practice of medicine, medical billing fraud, illegal self-referrals, and unlawful kickback arrangements. These lawsuits have been successful in the recoupment of substantial restitution and the waiver of unpaid claims on behalf of our clients.

Robin’s fraud expertise also includes representation of insurers in the defense of fraudulent first party property claims, including fictitious flood, burglary and theft claims, arson for profit and bad faith claims. Through her efforts, Robin has assisted our clients in successfully preventing payment of fraudulent claims.

Robin counsels insurers on best practices in claims handling, fraud detection, investigation and legality of medical care. She has also been sought out by both local and federal authorities to advise on strategies to combat insurance fraud.

In addition, Robin has successfully represented small and medium size businesses and entrepreneurs in complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract, business torts and business breakups with an emphasis on fraud.
