Rick has more than forty years of insurance coverage and litigation, both trial and appellate, experience. He represents insurance companies and other insurance and self-insured organizations in both first-party and third-party coverage, bad-faith, extracontractual liability, policy interpretation and policy drafting matters. Rick is an instructor and frequent speaker on insurance law and insurance-related topics, and has written numerous articles that have been published in insurance and legal publications, including successive reviews and analyses of the standard Massachusetts Automobile Insurance Policy. He is also the author of a chapter (“Insurance and Loss Prevention”) in Advising a Massachusetts Business (MCLE New England, 1st ed. 2011).

  • Listed in several Who’s Who publications, and has been recognized as a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer” for each year from 2005 through 2017 and as a New England “Super Lawyer” for each year from 2007 through 2017.
