Edwin F. Landers, Jr.

Ed Landers is a Partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. He has been admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1991, before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts since 1992, and also in the State of New Hampshire.

Mr. Landers' practice has concentrated in the defense of professionals, including, among others, attorneys, insurance agents, real estate brokers, and securities brokers. He also represents clients before administrative agencies, regulatory boards, and trial and appellate courts in all facets of civil litigation involving diverse practice areas outside the professional liability field, including employment, products liability, and premises liability He has been successful in such appearances, including receiving a defense verdict after a two-week trial involving a $1 million premises liability claim, obtaining dismissals or no probable cause determinations in over thirty discrimination cases, and recovering costs after defending a securities claim of over $1 million. In addition to providing defense in litigation matters, Mr. Landers counsels clients on numerous issues for risk management purposes and is often retained by insurers to provide representation with respect to coverage issues.

Mr. Landers frequently presents seminars and mock trials to client and industry groups, including Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and Lorman Education Services. He also has written articles on diverse legal issues for firm and industry publications, such as The Standard.

Mr. Landers is a 1988 graduate of Dartmouth College (B.A., cum laude) and a 1991 graduate of Boston College Law School (J.D., cum laude). Mr. Landers also was the valedictorian of his high school class.
