Diane C. Fernald, R.N. is a Partner in the Springfield office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Since joining the firm, Ms. Fernald's practice has concentrated in the area of Medical Professional Liability litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fernald served as Manager Medicare Appeals at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Healthcare Financing. Ms. Fernald also previously served as a Litigation Associate at Egan, Flanagan & Cohen, P.C. in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Ms. Fernald is admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut. She is a member of the Paralegal Advisory Board at Our Lady of The Elms College, a member of the Massachusetts and Women's Bar Associations, a member of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. Ms. Fernald has previously served in various Board capacities with the Pioneer Valley Visiting Nurses Association. She also serves as an adjunct professor of Health Law at Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Ms. Fernald is a graduate of American International College (B.S., Magna Cum Laude), Western New England College (M.B.A., Magna Cum Laude) and Western New England College School of Law (J.D.). In addition, Ms. Fernald is a Registered Nurse and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
