Christa A. Arcos

Christa A. Arcos is a Partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Her practice concentrates in the defense of lawyers against malpractice and in attorney disciplinary proceedings.  From 2001 and 2006, she prosecuted attorney misconduct for the Office of Bar Counsel in Massachusetts, and prior to that time was in private practice specializing in business and commercial litigation. Immediately prior to joining Morrison Mahoney LLP, Ms. Arcos served as an Assistant Clerk of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Ms. Arcos has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association's standing Committee on Professional Ethics since 2007. She co-authored the ethical commentaries for Massachusetts Expert Witnesses (MCLE, Inc. 2002 & Supp. 2007) and Massachusetts Divorce Law Practice Manual (MCLE, Inc. 2000 & Supp. 2008).  She is a frequent lecturer and author for bar associations and continuing legal education programs on such topics as equitable relief in civil litigation, deposition practice, summary judgment, and legal ethics. She has served as an editor for the Massachusetts Bar Association's Section Review for both the Judicial Administration and Law Practice Management councils.

Ms. Arcos is admitted to practice in the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.  She is a 1991 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she was an author and editor for the Suffolk University Law Review.  From 1991 and 1993, she served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court.  Ms. Arcos is fluent in Spanish.
