Chris Lazas is a partner in Morrison Mahoney's Parsippany, New Jersey office. He specializes in defending a wide range of liability claims including, but not limited to, premises liability, product liability, liquor liability, malpractice, construction defect and construction accident claims.
Chris is a member of the bar of the State of New Jersey. In addition to practicing before the New Jersey state courts, Chris is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Delaware in 1995 and his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 1998. Following his admission to the bar, Chris clerked for a New Jersey Superior Court civil trial judge.
In addition to practicing law, Chris is also a commissioned officer and Judge Advocate in the New Jersey Army National Guard. Chris served in Baghdad, Iraq from September 2008 to June 2009 with the 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. During his nine months in Iraq, Chris assisted with the management and reconstruction of Baghdad's high security "Green Zone" and helped facilitate the transfer of security and property from Coalition Forces back to the government of Iraq. In addition, Chris also served as an advisor to the Central Criminal Court of Iraq where he prosecuted detainees accused of plotting or carrying out attacks on U.S. forces and local nationals. For his service in Iraq, Chris was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Chris lives in New Providence with his wife and two children.
