Jeffery G. Latham is a Partner in the Providence office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Latham was a Principal in the law firm Tate + Latham, P.C. where his practice was concentrated in the area of medical malpractice defense. Mr. Latham has obtained or assisted in obtaining several favorable verdicts for physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. He has also obtained numerous favorable rulings on behalf of health care professionals from administrative boards. He has lectured to health care providers on a number of topics, including documentation, confidentiality and preparation for deposition and trial testimony. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Latham has continued his practice in the area of medical malpractice and health law as well as automobile and general liability defense.
Mr. Latham is admitted to the bar of the State of Rhode Island, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Association. Mr. Latham is also a certified meteorologist and is a member of the American Meteorological Society where he has been awarded the AMS Seal of Approval for Television Meteorology.
Mr. Latham is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Western New England College School of Law (J.D., cum laude). While in law school, he received three Cali awards for high academic achievement and a Best Oralist Award in the Environmental Moot Court Competition.
