Richard L. Neumeier is a partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. With over thirty years of experience, Mr. Neumeier offers his clients extensive civil litigation and insurance law experience. Mr. Neumeier’s practice has concentrated in the areas of appellate advocacy, insurance coverage, professional liability and employment law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Neumeier was a partner with the firm of McDonough, Hacking, Neumeier & Lavoie, LLP (1995 – 2003). Mr. Neumeier was also a partner with Parker, Coulter, Daley & White (1973 – 1995).

Mr. Neumeier is admitted to the bars of the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court, Southern And Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, U.S. Court of Appeals, 1st Circuit, the U.S. District Court, District of Rhode Island and the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently chairs the Special Committee on Professional Responsibility of the International Association of Defense Counsel (2003 - ) and has served as Editor of Defense Counsel Journal (a quarterly publication of the International Association of Defense Counsel) since 1992. Mr. Neumeier is also active in the Boston, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations. In addition, he is the former chair of the Massachusetts Committee on Professional Ethics (1980-1982) and the Boston Bar Ethic Committee (1994-1997). A prolific writer, Mr. Neumeier’s articles have been published in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Defense Counsel Journal as well as numerous other publications.

Mr. Neumeier is a graduate of the University of Chicago (B.A., M.A.) and Columbia University Law School (J.D.).
