Gareth W. Notis is a Partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Mr. Notis' practice focuses almost exclusively on litigation in Massachusetts State Courts and in Federal Court. His practice is concentrated in the areas of transportation law, employment law, product liability, civil rights defense, premises liability, and construction-related litigation. Mr. Notis represents a broad base of clients, including national transportation companies, municipalities, housing authorities, law enforcement officials, retailers, contractors and insurance companies.

Mr. Notis is a graduate of Fordham University and New England School of Law (J.D., Cum Laude). Prior to joining Morrison Mahoney LLP, Mr. Notis served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Karen D. Russell of the New Jersey Superior Court. Mr. Notis is admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and United States District Court for Massachusetts.

Mr. Notis has tried numerous cases to juries and judges throughout Massachusetts and in Federal Court. He also regularly defends individuals, corporations and municipalities in employment related matters before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Mr. Notis has also argued appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and prepared appellate briefs for argument before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, including N. Am. Site Developers, Inc. v. MRP Site Dev., Inc., 63 Mass. App. Ct. 529 (2005), City Fuel Corp. v. Nat'l Fire Ins. Co., 446 Mass. 638 (2006), Mass. Bay Transportation Authority v. Kinney Parking of Suffolk County, Mass. App. Ct., Docket No.: 2006-P-1136.

Currently, Mr. Notis is an active member of the ALFA International's Trucking and Transportation Practice Group, and sits on the practice group’s Steering Committee. He frequently lectures on trial practice and civil procedure before such organizations as the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Massachusetts Chapter.
